Emergency Care

We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!

This week has been very hard for us here at MARS. A litter of 5 puppies, that just became a part of the MARS family, has parvovirus. If you don't know, parvo is a bad virus that mostly affects puppies, it's very contagious and deadly. It's painful and absolutely horrible to watch such innocent little creatures go through it. It breaks my heart into a million piece to tell you that two of the puppies took a turn for the worse and we had to let them go. Any time you lose a life it is not easy. When you lose such young lives it seems so incredibly unfair. We did all that we could and they fought a hard fight but at only 8 weeks old they were just so small. Haku and Saphira are running free and at peace now. <3

So far the other three puppies are stable. We are keeping two under 24 hour watch just to be safe. It is incredibly heart breaking to watch them go through this, it's the worst. But we are thankful that they made it to MARS because we are lucky enough to have an amazing community and the emergency funds to support their emergency care. We have these funds because of our amazing supporters and donors!! So thank you for helping these sweet little babies have a fighting chance! We are so lucky to have such a supportive community that allows us the privilege of having the means to provide their care. This week we had the funds to support these babies. However, when emergencies happen we have to look at rebuilding those funds so we are ready for the next time we need it. If you are able or your heart feels led, please click the link below to support these puppies and the ones yet to come.

Please please keep these puppies in your mind, send them positive vibes and hope for the best! Cordelia, Falkor, and Smaug deserve to to live and long life full of love. Also, take this time to remember that vaccinating your dogs can save their lives. Parvo can be prevented with vaccinations.

Haku and Saphira…. We love you so very much and we are sorry we couldn't save you. We know you are now happy and running free together. Rest in peace you beautiful angels.
